Cubic Transportation Systems hires executive Danny Beh to lead regional expansion of smart cities, real-time analytics, infrastructure and innovation

SAN DIEGO, Aug. 23, 2017 – Cubic Transportation Systems (CTS), a business unit of Cubic Corporation (NYSE:CUB), today announced the appointment of Danny Beh as business development director of the Asia-Pacific region. In his new role, he will manage Cubic’s regional customer base with an emphasis on sustainable growth and expansion into new markets across the Asia-Pacific region.

“We are delighted that Danny has accepted this crucial and growing role in the company,” said Tom Walker, senior vice president and managing director of CTS Asia-Pacific. “His industry expertise and experience working across the Asia-Pacific is key for Cubic’s current contracts with Transport for New South Wales, TransLink in Brisbane and the Singapore Land Transport Authority, as well as new business expansion in the region.”

“It is a very exciting time for transport, with technological advancements in cashless platforms, automated passenger servicing, multimodal operation centers and greater reliance on real-time analytics driving the pace of change and making our cities smarter than ever before,” said Beh. “There is much enthusiasm for infrastructure expansion and innovation across the Asia-Pacific and I look forward to strengthening Cubic’s presence here while providing additional support to our current customers in the region.”

Prior to joining Cubic, Beh led the Asia Smart Cities and Security practice for Thales.  An industry professional in high-tech, outsourcing and smart cities, he has held senior executive roles in Andersen Consulting, Alcatel, Motorola and AGT International. Beh has also worked with governments in the Middle East and Europe to build and establish smart city operations centers and infrastructure. Additionally, he led the design and implementation of various sensor and analytics systems for Singapore Smart Nation.

Beh graduated in 1993 from the University of Sydney with a bachelor’s degree in economics, before completing his executive MBA at the Wharton Business School in 2000.

Beh is originally from Sydney, where he worked on the initial launch of the Optus mobile network and was also based in Singapore; Zurich, Switzerland; and Shanghai, China over the last 15 years.
