Cubic Transportation Systems to discuss intelligent transportation technologies and solutions

SAN DIEGO – January 26, 2016 – Cubic Transportation Systems (CTS), a business unit of Cubic Corporation (NYSE: CUB), today announced that Martin Howell, director of external affairs at CTS, is a keynote speaker at The Connected World in London, United Kingdom on January 28. Organized by The BIO Agency with the theme “From Connected Products to Smart Lives,” the event will host leading authorities in the smart products field and examine the opportunities a connected world will provide to brands and businesses.

“Truly disruptive technologies, such as those that are a part of Cubic’s NextCity roadmap, will play a critical role in a connected world of transportation and these effects are only going to accelerate into all industries,” said Matt Cole, president of Cubic Transportation Systems. “This disruption can solve problems but has to be managed within a coordinated framework to be useful to transportation operators and travelers. NextCity is the framework for integrating customer experience, one-account payment and big data into relevant information and choices for how and when to travel in smart cities of the future.”

Howell will speak about collaboration as a springboard for progress and why governments and industries must grasp the opportunities new technologies offer.

The event at the Rich Mix Cultural Foundation in London includes a panel discussion of industry figures on the frontlines of connected technology who will share ideas on how best to respond to the opportunities the future affords.
