Cubic Transportation Systems’ Andy Taylor, an influential advocate for Mobility as a Service, recognized for his contributions to the MaaS Alliance

SAN DIEGO – Oct. 2, 2018– Cubic Corporation (NYSE:CUB) today announced that Andy Taylor, director of strategy for its Cubic Transportation Systems (CTS) business division was awarded the MaaS Ambassador Award, one of three awards presented by the Mobility as a Service (MaaS) Alliance to individuals from member organizations who have significantly contributed to the development of MaaS and the overall alliance. The award was presented to Taylor at MaaS Alliance’s fourth annual MaaS Summit in Copenhagen, Denmark.

As a recognized MaaS thought leader representing CTS on the global stage, Taylor has presented at numerous conferences and authored articles focused on MaaS evolution as the standard of future urban mobility. Cubic’s vision of MaaS centers on its One Account platform, which allows consumers to pay for all their transportation modes from a single source. One Account also provides additional offerings to service providers delivering overall network management and optimization applications and analytics.

“As a transportation provider of payment and information technology and services, Cubic is a committed champion for MaaS, though our NextCity® vision, which has progressively been refined since our launch over seven years ago,” said Taylor. “Being in a position to educate, inform and partner with industry influencers is my passion and I am honored to have been selected as a MaaS Alliance ambassador to continue and strengthen the conversation and execution in a world that is facing crisis levels of traffic congestion.”

Taylor is a member of the MaaS Alliance board of directors and was recently shortlisted for the Best Influencer (Individual) award by the BMaaS Awards hosted by BusinessMaaS.com, while Cubic Transportation Systems was shortlisted for the Best Influencer (Company) category. Matt Cole, president of CTS, was named Influencer of the Year for the same awards.
