Come ready to engage, learn and share ideas as we shape the future of mobility together.
With the challenges of population growth and urbanisation placing immense pressure on our infrastructure, cities are in need of seamless solutions to help address congestion and provide equitable and efficient transport services. Fortunately, technology is helping create a digitally driven world that encompasses many new and emerging tools to help cities overcome these challenges. This session will explore a vision of the world today and our vision for the future of transport and how we can embrace next generation technologies to allow people to move freely and efficiently around cities again.
Both government and industry are being challenged by the unprecedented rate of technological advancement. To stay ahead, we require new approaches to innovation and development. Emerging technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Machine Vision, Facial and Object Recognition, and Blockchain are evolving faster than ever before, creating endless possibilities. This session will explore approaches to open innovation; embracing emerging technology and decreasing the time to market.
One of the most debated topics in transport today is the role that Mobility as a Service (MaaS) can play in addressing congestion in large cities and provide efficient services in remote and rural areas. This topic will explore what MaaS actually is; building blocks of MaaS; the role that Artificial Intelligence could play; and provide practical advice on roadmaps to introduce MaaS in your city.
Roads are probably the biggest victim of population growth and urbanisation. Many of our cities are at a standstill during peak hour, hindering productivity and increasing commuter stress. In this session we will discuss our current projects deploying the Transport Management Platform and the recent acquisitions of Trafficware and Gridsmart show a vision for how these solutions can help cities to get moving again.
Customer expectations are no longer set by their last transport experience but by their end-to-end experience. Similar to how Netflix and Spotify allow access to all your music and movie options through a single platform, transport customers are also wanting a single account to manage and pay for all their mobility needs. Additionally, digital payment innovation is driving a customer expectation to be able to pay for mobility services with a large variety of payment means. This topic will explore the benefits that can be derived from a One Account approach for authorities and operators to provide this freedom of choice for their customers
The proliferation of smartphones in society continues to grow and is generating phenomena such as “Nomophobia” and the “App Expectation”. Whilst smartphones and mobile ticketing present wonderful customer experience, speed, and convenience, they also represent a new digital platform for exceptional customer engagement and loyalty management for operators and agencies.
Advancements in AI, Machine Learning & chatbot technology will play a key role in the forecasted shift to a cashless society This topic will explore how these emerging technologies can be adopted to enhance existing customer service channels and provide efficient account management and ticket sales as cities progressively shift away from the use of cash and physical tickets.
