Cubic attended CONNECT’s Most Innovative New Product (MIP) Awards ceremony to celebrate our nominated MIP solutions for the fourth consecutive year.

At the 2015 MIP Awards ceremony, Cubic was invited to share what the company is doing to inspire employees to identify and solve customer problems in new and different ways. Boris Karsch, vice president of Strategy, Cubic Transportation Systems, proudly took the podium on Cubic’s behalf to highlight our efforts in innovation through IdeaSpark, hackathons and our innovation centers.
Cubic was nominated in the categories of Aerospace, Security & Cyber Technologies for Cubic Global Defense’s Javelin Simulator and Mobile Apps for Cubic Transportation Systems’ Ventra.
Cubic Global Defense’s Javelin Simulator is a portable guided weapon system used by the U.S. Marine Corps and other U.S. and allied armed forces worldwide, the Javelin Simulator is the first simulator of its type to use geo-pairing (relative position between a shooter and a target) and mediated/augmented reality in force-on-force ground combat training. It’s leading the way for geo-pairing technology across multiple platforms.
Cubic Transportation System’s Ventra App officially went “live” in Chicago as of November 19. Ventra is a user-friendly solution that brings together traditionally separate transit management services into a single application for one integrated user experience. It’s basically put a vending machine right in commuters’ pockets.
Although Cubic didn’t break CONNECT’s record of being the first company to win an award for four consecutive years, we were honored to have been recognized for the innovative products our employees work so hard to develop.
