Mission Communications and Computing
The Army’s Integrated Tactical Network (ITN) enables operations in highly mobile, dynamic, and electromagnetic-contested environments. Modernizing the ITN for Multi-Domain dominance requires engineering for new levels of capacity, resiliency, and convergence. Cubic’s Mission Communications and Computing portfolio delivers a comprehensive set of modular capabilities for Joint All-Doman Command and Control. Our M3X Expeditionary Networking and Compute platform enables new capabilities for the Tactical Edge and the emerging Internet of Battlefield Things. Cubic’s Data Links and Protected Waveforms keep our forces connected without being compromised with solutions that are hard to detect or intercept and with strong anti-jamming capabilities.
Real-Time ISR Processing, Exploitation and Dissemination
Cubic’s Digital Intelligence solutions accelerate the “data-to-decision” process by providing uninterrupted access to real-time intelligence sources, and the delivery of geospatial intelligence product to the tactical edge, across permissive and contested environments.
Cubic’s Unified Video is a Cloud based, scalable video management platform for your data center or deployed location to simplify viewing, managing, and understanding massive amounts of real-time and archived full motion video. Designed to maximize situational awareness, Ikena ISR® software fuses and delivers full-motion video enhancement and exploitation capabilities to all operational levels; from tactical environments to operations centers. MotionDSP® JET integrates best of breed AI target classification with geospatial accuracy improvement to output accurate, normalized target data to multiple systems.
Atlas is the next generation in deployable, real-time ISR solutions that enables the reception, backhaul, transcoding, and management of real-time full-motion video. PIXIA’s flexible OGC I/O engine and HiPER family of tools provides a geospatial and temporal data hierarchy that can be replicated at any classification level across domains at both the edge and the enterprise.
Protected High-Bandwidth SATCOM When and Where You Need it Most
Cubic’s GATR terminals provide high bandwidth solutions in extremely low SWaP. Expeditionary units will realize a fourfold increase in performance in the same weight and volume of traditional, rigid dishes half the aperture size. The low weight and volume allow expeditionary forces to deliver capability where needed at the required level of performance in a mature operation.
When compared to similar aperture size antennas, the GATR system packs into 50% to 80% savings in volume and weight enabling the movement of additional combat power or other capability. The added aperture size enables protected waveform operations to support communications in contested and/or congested environments.
Cubic’s Cross Domain (XD) portfolio deliver high performance, low SWaP solutions that ensures the secure transfer of data to enable secure collaboration across all warfighting domains, and informed command and control for a fully integrated fighting force.
The XD product line scales from the enterprise to the edge, offering solutions to create redundant and reliable cross domain entry points across a network for a survivable warfighting network. From enhanced full motion video and PLI streaming to formatted file types with dirty word checks and filtering, the XD product line can accelerates decision making through low latency information flow across all boundaries, ensuring US Army, DoD and coalition partner all-domain dominance.
Engagement Skills Trainers Delivered to the Point of Need
The Army requires a Soldier / Squad trainer that provide units the ability to train Weapons Skill Development (WSD), Use of Force (UoF) and Joint Fires Training (JFT) at the point of need (PoN), in a single, next-generation training system. Cubic’s Weapon Engagement Development training solution addresses these requirements for the individual Soldier and the Squad, in one laserless system with indoor/outdoor capability. Our system is tetherless, HMD compatible, and is guaranteed to reduce maintenance downtime and life cycle management costs.
Cubic's Soldier Weapons Engagement Development Systems includes:
- Soldier Virtual Trainer (SVT)
- Squad immersive Virtual (SiVT)
- Soldier/Squad Virtual Trainer (S/SVT)
High fidelity Replication of Real Combat Direct Fire and Indirect Fire Engagements
Cubic’s Live Training Environment (LTE) Force on Force (FoF) is an end-to-end system that advances live training from the Soldier through Brigade Combat Team (BCT). Cubic’s LTE and FoF training solutions leverage our Universal Laserless Training Architecture (ULTRA) to provide high fidelity replication of real combat direct fire and short/long indirect fire engagements. Our solutions address current Tactical Engagement Simulation System (TESS) limitations with the use of accurate ballistic trajectories and simulations replicating both Direct Fire and Indirect Fire weapons’ lethality, shoot-through concealment, and target defilade, while also providing realistic battlefield effects
Closing the Gap in Realistic Replication of Fires
Cubic’s Indirect Fire Mission Training System closes the gap in realistic replication of fires for both individual, team and instrumented collective training – it enables the Army to train sensor to shooter linkage in a realistic and immersive environment. Cubic’s Indirect Fire Training System specifically fills the gap between theoretical drills and live fire and provides a higher fidelity live instrumented force on force engagement training at home station and combat training centers. It provides an applique wireless instrumentation system deployable across a range of artillery platforms and mortars. The system simulates the full range of weapon effects while also exercising the complete artillery system of systems – from observer to platform, including C4I and logistics. Our instrumented indirect fire training system is interoperable with an Area Weapons Effects Simulations (AWES) and Tactical Engagement Simulation System (TESS).
Cubic’s Urban Operations Training System (UOTS) is an evolutionary advancement of our Area Weapons Effects System (AWES). UOTS provides real-time battlefield effects controlled by Exercise Control (EXCON) and delivers integrated training experiences that improve operational readiness and reduce training costs. Our UOTS brings command and control within urban training environment, as well as enhanced battlefield effects, including audio cues, aromatic stimuli and visual stimulation to replicate realistic conditions that soldiers will encounter during urban combat.
