Enabling the reception, backhaul, transcoding, storage and management of real-time, full-motion video, command and control data and airborne sensor data, Atlas is the next generation in deployable, real-time ISR solutions.
Atlas provides uninterrupted access to multiple data sources without the need for larger data networks giving users the capability to “pull” real-time intelligence information from ubiquitous repositories, rather than having a centralized agency anticipate their intelligence needs and “push” the information to them.
The Atlas Video Server (AVS) is an all-In-one software-defined video FMV encoder/transcoder, and content management system. This rugged, modular solution is designed for deployable applications with size, weight, and power limitations. Built to transport mission critical real-time video from anywhere in the world, the AVS reduces bandwith up to 50% using industry leading transcoding software. The AVS Supports up to 6 simultaneous HD HEVC feeds or 15 HD AVC feeds.
With is embedded Unified Video® software by Cubic | TeraLogics, AVS natively aggregates local and external sensors for a comprehensive view of full-motion video assets. View live and archived video while simultaneously broadcasting and storing data. Unified Video powers metadata-rich FMV processing, storage, and dissemination in real-time from anywhere in the world. With its suite of robust tools intelligence analysts can find, scrub, view, annotate and tag imagery, and add metadata to FMV in real-time across the enterprise. Unified Video connects to any video and/or metadata source to collect, index, record, and broadcast mission critical insights for rapid analysis. Both the user portal and network share the same asynchronous technology, the system can easily scale to support thousands of concurrent videos and users around the globe.
The Atlas Control Unit (ACU) combines multiple system administration interfaces into a single, integrated application to automate configurations across each of the solution’s modules. Since the ACU integrates with the software installed on the suite, it drastically reduces the need for Field Service Representatives (FSR), which reduce operating costs. Automation of the interfaces also eliminates configuration errors that are typical in configuring multiple complex systems and applications. Figure x provides a graphical representation of the ACU functionality.
Features/Benefits
Netops - Each Atlas kit can automatically report its health status to a Cubic | TeraLogics Atlas NetOps server. Commanders can keep track of Atlas deployments 24x7 with real time metrics to maintain situational awareness.
SWAP Reduction - At under 20lbs, rucksack sized Atlas provides power and connectivity that is over a 3x reduction in SWAP compared to solutions fielded today. With its small tactical footprint and rugged design, Atlas was developed for single-man-carry into any operating environment allowing unit commanders to understand their operational environment, identify mission critical factors, and control their assets by leveraging real-time intelligence
Interoperability and Flexibility - The Atlas can be deployed as a stand alone C2ISR system or integrated into existing deployable data networks. It can also be configured and tailored to individual user requirements with additional integrated hardware and/or software to provide the most remote warfighters with a complete C4ISR capability.
