DTECH’s tactical cloud servers with Aruba Virtual Mobility Controller is the company’s first product to receive certification
SAN DIEGO – July 5, 2017 – Cubic Corporation (NYSE: CUB) today announced that DTECH Labs (DTECH), a subsidiary which operates within the Cubic Mission Solutions business division, received approval from the National Security Agency (NSA) for its tactical cloud servers with Aruba Virtual Mobility Controller (VMC) to use as a certified component for the Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) program. The DTECH and Aruba-composed system was validated against the U.S. government-approved protection profiles for operation as a traffic filtering firewall (TFFW) and a Virtual Private Network Gateway (VPN GW).
The CSfC program enables commercial products to be used in layered solutions to protect classified National Security Systems (NSS) information. CSfC also allows for the ability to securely communicate, based on commercial standards, within solutions that can be fielded in months, rather than years. The successful completion provides implementers and integrators with the assurance that the hardening of the DTECH and Aruba-composed system meet the stringent requirements of the Common Criteria Protection Profiles when DTECH’s cloud servers are leveraged.
“We are pleased to partner with Aruba Networks to offer its Aruba VMC in a tactical, small-form factor,” said Mike Barthlow, vice president of secure networking, Cubic Mission Solutions. “In order to successfully achieve our customer’s mission objectives, it is imperative for them to be able to efficiently and effectively transmit classified information. The approval of our tactical cloud servers with Aruba VMC for the CSfC Components List enables us to continue delivering improved and secure capabilities for networking and communications at the edge.”
Together, DTECH and Aruba bring the power of a full-rack mount Aruba 7xxx or 72xx appliance to the DTECH small-form factor. With the CSfC certification, this offering will be the first DTECH product to appear by name on the associated product documentation.
