Cubic Global Defense collaborates with industry partners to exhibit interoperable air combat training solutions
SAN DIEGO – September 10, 2015 – Cubic Global Defense, a business of Cubic Corporation(NYSE: CUB), today announced that the company will demonstrate its various Live, Virtual and Constructive (LVC) training and simulation solutions that enhance air-related combat training at the upcoming Air & Space Conference and Technology Exposition held in National Harbor, Maryland, from September 14 – 16. Hosted by the Air Force Association(AFA), the Air & Space Conference brings together military leadership, industry experts, academia and current aerospace specialists from around the world to discuss the issues and challenges facing the aerospace community.
“Cubic was at the forefront of air combat training with the development of Air Combat Maneuvering Instrumentation (ACMI), and we continue to work closely with the U.S. Air Force and allied nations to deliver the next-generation of critical training technologies and solutions,” said Bill Toti, president of Cubic Global Defense. “In collaboration with industry partner L3 Link, we look forward to demonstrating an interoperable training solution in a true LVC environment leveraging Cubic’s next-generation combat training systems.”
Air combat related training solutions to be exhibited at the event include:
- Real-time LVC Air Combat Training: Combined demonstration of Cubic’s ‘Live’ P5 Combat Training System (P5CTS) and ‘Virtual’ L3 Link SimuStrikeTM flight simulator with Cubic Miniature Encryption (CME) — all in a complex ‘Constructive’ environment.
- Modern Air Combat Environment (MACE): Provides a simulation with the ability to create complex patterns of life scenarios; weapons employment; student platform navigation; and entity/platform of interest analysis, spotting and targeting in classroom-based sensor training.
- Individual Combat Aircrew Display System (ICADS): Advanced Windows-based aircrew combat display and debrief system which provides real-time monitoring and control, allowing users to communicate with pilots, control simulated threats and fire simulated weapons.
- Cubic Miniature Encryption: Multilevel encryptor developed to solve the information assurance deficiency for U.S. Air Combat Training Systems (ACTS).
