Cubic Global Defense to demonstrate the need for virtual environment training at Capitol Hill Modeling and Simulation Expo

SAN DIEGO – July 7, 2015 – Cubic Global Defense, a business of Cubic Corporation (NYSE: CUB), today announced the company’s participation in the 10th Annual Capitol Hill Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Expo,  being held in the Rayburn House Office Building, Washington D.C. on July 9. The Capitol Hill M&S Expo brings together top-notch modeling and simulations companies, chosen by the National Training and Simulation Association (NTSA), to showcase their national defense, homeland security and medical training technologies and capabilities to U.S. Members of Congress and staff. With the theme, “Training our Warfighters; Saving Money, Time and Lives with Simulation,” Cubic will demonstrate how a high-fidelity, game-based, immersive, virtual environment training technology can be leveraged to enhance learning in other domains.

“With constrained budgets and limited time, there is a need for cost-effective solutions to maintain force readiness. In order to meet this demand, Cubic focuses on delivering a blend of live, virtual, and constructive training with gaming simulations to save customers’ money and ensure forces maintain readiness levels despite decreasing training budgets,” said John Roberti, vice president, government relations and strategy of Cubic Corporation. “We look forward to engaging with our Congress members and their staff to demonstrate technologies that can help with U.S. policy to further the use and development of M&S in new and emerging fields.”

Cubic will share information about the following technologies and products:

  • Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Immersive Virtual Courseware: Demonstration of the U.S. Navy’s new LCS virtual training program.
