SAN DIEGO, Calif. – September 27, 2013 – Cubic Corporation (NYSE: CUB) announced today that its next generation (XG) One Shot crosswind and range measurement system has been selected as a finalist in the aerospace & security technologies category for the 2013 Most Innovative New Product Awards, sponsored by CONNECT.  CONNECT, a regional program that catalyzes the creation of innovative technology and life sciences products in San Diego County, continues its twenty-six year tradition of honoring San Diego's leaders of innovation and groundbreaking new products with the annual award.

“We’re very honored and excited to be a finalist for the most innovative aerospace & security technologies at the CONNECT Most Innovative New Product Awards,” said Steve Sampson, vice president of advanced programs, Cubic Defense Applications. “With our One Shot XG technology, we’ve created a new system that helps mitigate risk for our customers. New applications and new deployment initiatives are in our future, as we work to remain innovators in our field.”

Cubic’s One Shot technology enables military marksman to hit targets at extreme ranges with only one rifle shot. One Shot XG immediately measures downrange crosswind speed and direction and provides aiming corrections. This field-deployable system is mounted on the rifle or the spotter-scope.
