SAN DIEGO, Calif. – January 5, 2012 - Cubic Applications, Inc., a mission support services subsidiary of Cubic Corporation (NYSE: CUB), has received a new three-year contract valued at $13.6 million from the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) to provide support to the Future Warfare Division (FWD) of the Army Capabilities Integration Center’s Concept Development and Learning Directorate.
Cubic will assist Headquarters, TRADOC, in balancing and executing the Army’s Future Study Plan to frame issues vital to future force development and to identify solution strategies for enduring operational problems. By designing wargames, developing and executing seminars, and facilitating analytical events, Cubic will assist the Army in examining future warfare concepts in global scenarios across a range of military operations. Cubic will conduct research, write papers, and coordinate with Army senior leaders to examine potential gaps in Army capabilities and help generate ideas to close those gaps. Ultimately, Cubic will incorporate and examine Army Concepts in Joint, Service, Multinational, Interagency and Department of Defense (DoD) activities for further refinement.
“This is an important and strategic win for the Operations Support Division,” stated Rich Bristow, Vice President and General Manager of the division. “We have been heavily involved in future concepts for DoD, and now we can bring our expertise directly to the Army. Cubic has supported nearly every type of wargame and analysis exercise for many years and we look forward to being an active partner with FWD on these critical issues and planning.”
Russ Goehring, Cubic’s Program Manager, added, “We are committed to do our part to enhance both the events and the accuracy of the findings.”
