SAN DIEGO, Calif. – December 18, 2013 – Cubic Corporation (NYSE: CUB) announced today that its One Shot technology received the Most Innovative New Product (MIP) Award in the aerospace and security technologies category at the 2013 CONNECT MIP Awards that took place at an awards ceremony on Dec. 6. In its 26th year, the annual awards program continues its tradition of honoring San Diego’s leaders of innovation and groundbreaking new products launched in the last year.

Cubic’s One Shot technology enables military marksman to hit targets at extreme ranges with only one rifle shot. The One-Shot system senses integrated wind direction and velocity along the entire path between the shooter and target, range to target, weapon angles, Coriolis force, temperature and pressure data, and weapon type. One Shot also provides an offset aim point and an error circle in the user-selected sight. This field-deployable system is mounted on the rifle or the spotter-scope.

“We’re very honored and humbled to win the most innovative aerospace & security technologies at the CONNECT Most Innovative New Product Awards,” said Steve Sampson, vice president of advanced programs, Cubic Defense Applications. “At Cubic, we strive daily to create a culture of innovative thinking and team collaboration to distinguish us from many others in our industry.  This award validates the uniqueness of One Shot – both as the result of inspired work by Cubic and our partner, Trex Enterprises - and for creating a very important technology advancement giving our warfighters a needed and decisive battlefield advantage.”
