Cubic Mission Solutions established to strengthen company’s focus on high-growth C4ISR businesses
SAN DIEGO, May 25, 2016 – Cubic Corporation (NYSE: CUB) today announced the promotion of retired U.S. Navy Vice Adm. David Buss, senior vice president of Cubic Global Defense (CGD), to corporate senior vice president and president of CGD. In addition, Mike Twyman, executive vice president of Communications, Intelligence and Surveillance Systems, is promoted to corporate senior vice president and president of Cubic Mission Solutions (CMS), now a formalized business division that includes the company’s C4ISR subsidiaries and product offerings. Both report to Brad Feldmann, president and chief executive officer of Cubic Corporation. Buss succeeds Bill Toti, former president of CGD, who is leaving the company to pursue other career opportunities. Toti’s leadership was instrumental in transforming Cubic’s defense business strategy, and we thank him for his many contributions to the company.
“Dave and Mike are the right leaders at the right time to propel Cubic Global Defense into the next phase of growth,” said Brad Feldmann, president and chief executive officer of Cubic Corporation. “Their high-level insight, along with their natural visionary and hands-on leadership style, will play an integral role in the successful execution of Cubic’s overall defense business strategy to win the customer.”
In Buss’ new role, he will lead the business strategy for Cubic’s defense business, which is focused on NextTraining. NextTraining is centered on identifying and rapidly integrating innovative technologies into defense training systems and services to provide customers with cutting-edge 21st century means to ensure the operational readiness of their forces.
As president of CMS, Twyman will oversee the Communications/C4ISR businesses including DTECH Labs, GATR Technologies, TeraLogics, XD Solutions and Communications & Electronics offerings. This updated organizational structure demonstrates the company’s continued focus on delivering innovative C4ISR solutions globally.
