Cubic Global Defense participates in the largest personnel recovery exercise in the world
SAN DIEGO – July 15, 2015 – Cubic Global Defense (CGD), a business of Cubic Corporation(NYSE: CUB), recently participated in the world’s largest personnel-recovery, live training exercise, Angel Thunder 2015, which took place in Arizona and New Mexico.
As the most extensive joint-service, first-responder training exercise, Angel Thunder provided servicemen and servicewomen from all over the world the opportunity to train in an intense, real-world environment. CGD worked alongside Wright State Research Institute and partners; Air Force Research Lab, University of Toledo, CAE and University of Nebraska employing their Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) ground-based technology at the event.
Angel Thunder works with state department officials and others, ensuring the realism of the scenarios. Participants learn how to respond in hostile situations and how to provide immediate tactical medical support. The LVC ground-based system provided support to pararescuemen (PJs) and first responders during the exercise and offered after-action reviews through the data that was streamed to and through the mannequins.
CGD was honored to participate in such an important event and looks forward to ongoing work with Angel Thunder.
