SAN DIEGO, Calif. – September 5, 2012 -- Cubic Defense Applications, the defense systems business of Cubic Corporation (NYSE: CUB) has renewed its Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Level 3 certification for the company’s San Diego-based operations.
CMMI is an international performance standard developed by Carnegie Mellon University’s Software Engineering Institute that is used to measure the maturity of a company's business processes. In 2008, Cubic achieved CMMI capability Level 3 in 14 of the 18 process areas. In this most recent appraisal, Cubic achieved maturity Level 3 in all 18 process areas.

In addition to these quality certifications, more than 75 Cubic program managers have received formal Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications from the Project Management Institute.
“The renewal of this certification and our commitment to program management excellence are reflected in our 99 percent on-time delivery performance across our worldwide operations,” said Bradley H. Feldmann, President of Cubic Defense Applications.
