Accelerating LVC Training and All-Domain Readiness for the Peer Fight
Tomorrow’s fight will be different. A new advantage is needed to train and deliver a superior warfighting advantage across all domains. Cubic Mission and Performance Solutions addresses these challenges with a complementary portfolio of Live, Virtual, Constructive (LVC) Training solutions that deliver unprecedented realism, superior readiness, and maximum value, preparing warfighters to face an advanced and near-peer adversary anywhere, anytime.

Common Data Platform for Multi-Domain Training
SPEAR is a modern, DoD approved tech stack that reduces cognitive burden through optimized displays & analytics of kinetic and non-kinetic data, with weapons effects, in multi-domain operations and LVC environments. SPEAR melds objective and subjective data with time sync’d mission log in real time and for after action reporting. SPEAR ingests lossless data, provides and stores outputs in analyzable format(s) for Learning Management System inclusion. Before, during, and after training missions, SPEAR uses channelization to process all data ingest and adjudication at the same time from every SPEAR client and gets you to “What Happened?” quickly, leaving more time to figure out “Why it Happened?”
Training for the High-End Peer Fight
SITL-LVC brings the realism of the near-peer fight to the cockpits of 4th and 5th generation platforms. Cubic, industry, and government have demonstrated that SITL LVC can be achieved with minimal investment and low risk to close the live-training proficiency gap by 2025. Secure LVC Advanced Training Environment (SLATE) injects synthetic entities from human-operated simulators (Virtual) and computer-generated-forces (Constructive) into live cockpits: platforms, weapons, and effects across the electromagnetic (EM)/infrared (IR) spectrums. Cubic is the only company with proven expertise to integrate LVC
Increasing Surface to Surface Precision Fires Competency
Cubic’s MLRS Training System provides the platform on which to train integrated surface to surface precision fires for high intensity conflict. It enables the Land Commander to train sensor-to-shooter and weapon-to-target-matching in a realistic and immersive manner. Cubic increases the survivability and maintains operational readiness for MLRS and HIMARS detachments training in an individual or collective context, from virtual platform drills to force on force formation engagement training. The system is equally suitable at home station or combat training center and can influence the combat training centers from the home station. Cubic’s MLRS and HIMARS training solution is interoperable with Tactical Engagement Simulation Systems (TESS) and other virtual simulation environments.
Closing the Gap in the Realistic Replication of Fires
Cubic’s Indirect Fire Mission Training System closes the gap in realistic replication of fires for individual, team and instrumented collective training. It enables the Army to train sensor to shooter linkage in a realistic and immersive environment. Cubic’s Indirect Fire Training System specifically fills the gap between theoretical drills and live fire and provides a higher fidelity live instrumented force on force engagement training at home station and combat training centers. The system simulates the full range of weapon effects while also exercising the complete artillery system of systems, from observer to platform, including C4I and logistics. Our instrumented indirect fire training system is interoperable with Tactical Engagement Simulation Systems (TESS) and other virtual simulation environments.
Training Realism for a Superior Warfighting Advantage
Cubic Mission provides 60mm, 81mm and 120mm Mortar Trainers that simulates an indirect fire mission engagement using simulated training and operational barrels through an instrumented NATO-standard, simulated mortar bomb and appliqué Bluetooth components. It provides a realistic training experience during both individual soldier gunnery training and force-on-force exercises, at home station and in the field. Data communication between the simulated mortar round and the detachment computation device generates and records firing events which are then transmitted to the exercise control system. Cubic’s simulated mortar bombs have similar physical characteristics to the real High Explosive, Smoke and Illumination munitions for size and balance.
LVC Simulation of Chemical and Radiological Threats
The CBRN CTSS provides high fidelity LVC simulation of chemical and biological threats to provide realistic training to battlefield participants, Tier 1 CBRND responders and Tier 2 specialist response and initial analysis specialist. The CBRND CTSS adapts and integrates various best of breed sim products in an IEEE 802.15.4 open wireless network architecture.
