Jannet Walker Ford was chosen as a panelist for SharpHeels because of her influence and experience. In her current role at Cubic, Walker Ford coordinates and communicates with transportation industry associations, works with congressional staff, positions Cubic customers to navigate the legislative process, and acts as a liaison with the Executive Branch, other key transportation administrations and lobbyists to advance and advocate for transportation policies and programs.
Alongside her main responsibility at Cubic Corporate as VP of Government Relations, Walker Ford focuses on educating and enabling female leaders throughout North America in the transportation industry. Just this year, Walker Ford was recognized as one of the “Women Who Move the Nation” by the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials (COMTO), one of Miami’s Women Who Rock, and one of the 2019 Transportation Diversity Council (TDC) – Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) award recipients for her service to the transportation community.
Walker Ford will bring a positive voice that engages, educates, and empowers women. She will be addressing an intimate group of local professionals on topics such as successful career planning, overcoming career obstacles, being an impactful leader, and enhancing executive presence.
