On a cold winter day in February 2017, a handful of TeraLogics engineers headed down to Huntsville, Alabama to participate in a technology integration demonstration with GATR Technologies.

This was our first trip to visit our fellow Cubic Mission Solutions colleagues and presented an exciting opportunity to create a live demonstration of our respective video and SATCOM products for Cubic leadership, including President of Cubic Mission Solutions Mike Twyman and Cubic’s Chief Technology Officer Amy Kruse.

The notional concept behind the integration would be to stream live video, recorded using our UV/LENS mobile streaming application, via GATR’s SATCOM terminal, for viewing on our enterprise, cloud-based Unified Video® product.

In initial testing events, things rarely work on the first try. There are always some minor adjustments and settings to configure as the engineers learn more about the nuances of the various technologies. This integration effort was different.

TeraLogics started streaming, GATR began transmitting and just like that it worked. Our technologies played so well together that we were more than a little impressed with our products.

This was a great start to relationship building between two of Cubic’s newest C4ISR portfolio offerings and a scenario that exemplifies “One Cubic” mentality, which seeks to find synergy between various offerings and families within Cubic Corporation.

Since then, we have worked even more closely to continue exploring integration possibilities that will result in innovative and strengthened solutions we can provide our new and existing customers.
