Supporting and encouraging our fellow service members upon their return from serving our country is an important commitment at Cubic. This is the reason Cubic is a proud sponsor and active participant of the Wounded Warrior Intern Program (WWIP) through the Operation Warfighter initiative.

Operation Warfighter (OWF) is a temporary assignment/internship progOperation Warfighter Internshipram developed by the Department of Defense for service members that are convalescing at military treatment facilities throughout the United States. The program provides recuperating service members with meaningful activity outside of the hospital environment and offers a formal means of transition back to the military or civilian workforce, whether they want to learn a skill that complements their military skills or new skills to transition into a different area of work.

Cubic has been participating in WWIP since 2011 by employing selected wounded warriors at Joint Staff J7 Suffolk, Virginia. Partnering with the local Portsmouth VP Hospital in Suffolk, Cubic has had several veterans who have successfully completed the program and now work at the Joint Staff J7 Suffolk Joint Force Development Directorate, supporting our Operations and Plans Division of Joint Training as well as deployment support and equipment accountability.

In August, Joint Staff J7 Suffolk held a Wounded Warrior Intern Program Awareness Day, where industry supporters, including Cubic, were recognized for their solid commitment to the program.

Cubic looks forward to continuing our involvement with the WWIP by actively employing selected Wounded Warriors.
