Russell Marsh is President of Cubic Defense, leading the strategic vision for the Cubic Defense portfolio of businesses that deliver secure communications innovations, satellite technology, learning platforms, and air and training solutions. Russell is focused on driving growth in partnership with existing and new customers while leveraging Cubic Defense’s strong technical legacy. 

With more than 25 years of professional experience, Russell has led program and business transformations in both the defense and commercial industries. In the defense segment, he has worked at General Dynamics, Northrop Grumman, General Atomics, Leonardo DRS and CAES (Cobham Advanced Electronic Solution). He led CAES Integrated Defense Systems, the San Diego full-program portfolio, including franchise programs on SPY-6 and Joint Strike Fighter (Radar and Electronic Warfare). Additionally, he has successfully delivered several first-in-class programs, of note is the electric propulsion system for the Columbia Class Submarine.

A 1993 graduate of the United States Naval Academy, Russell holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Systems Engineering and served 12 years in the Navy, primarily as a Nuclear Submarine Officer.
