P5 CTS/TCTS
Embark on a singular training experience with P5 CTS/TCTS, a versatile, immersive platform that engages students in real-time air-to-air and air-to-ground weapons simulation. Deployed globally to over 30 ranges and given its ability to operate untethered, P5 has a proven “anytime, anywhere” training capability. Pilots can take advantage of high-fidelity continuous time, space, position information (TSPI) transmission and real-time kill notifications, which elevate their training to new heights. Trusted by the U.S. Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force and coalition partners, P5 has been a highly reliable, constantly evolving training system. P5 System Security Update (SSU) modification is now on contract and approved for export, and P5 offers a multi-channel, NSA-approved encrypted waveform for full interoperability with 5th Generation aircraft at less than one tenth of the cost of competitors’ secure ACMI.
KITS
Discover KITS, a crucial air combat training system trusted by the United States and its allies. Designed for multinational joint air combat training exercises, KITS uses a powerful long-range UHF data link to seamlessly transmit and receive TSPI on all aircraft associated with an exercise. Synthesized voice communications deliver real-time kill notifications to aircrews, and whether used in tethered or untethered operations, KITS empowers pilots to train “anytime, anywhere,” and optimize readiness in diverse training scenarios. Cubic-produced KITS pods have proven indispensable for integrating allies at ranges around the world.
Airborne Instrumentation Subsystem
Our airborne instrumentation subsystems include an array of modern avionics, electronics and computer processors that record participant flight parameters. They are used in air combat training and air test and evaluation, adapting to fighter and attack jet aircraft and attack helicopters.
Ground Instrumentation Subsystem
Our ground instrumentation subsystem includes a set of land- and ship-based equipment that supports all elements of air combat training and test missions. All components allow for setup, monitor, control and debrief to occur in a secure environment. Key components and features:
- Mission Line Up (MLU) Orange box: With its intuitive user interface, MLU software includes thousands of different weapon and threat simulations for a wide range of host aircraft.
- Firewalls Orange box: Firewall prevents unauthorized network access, acting as the interface between the remote range communications and radio equipment, and the ICADS® and Live Monitor (LM) computer equipment.
- Live Monitor Orange box: Our live monitor displays and records, in real time, information about all mission participants, securely transmitting control commands over a communications network.
- Data Merge Device Orange box: Data merge provides a high-fidelity, post-mission debrief, transmitting a comprehensive digital output mission file to the Individual Combat Aircrew Display System (ICADS®) display for immediate debriefing.
Live, Virtual, Constructive Training
Cubic's live, virtual and constructive (LVC) solution is driven by decades of work with aviators from every service. It creates a realistic, cost efficient, dynamic training environment for our nation's military and allied nation allowing the Department of Defense (DoD) and its coalition partners the ability to securely train, test and measure combat readiness like never before.
