Visit us at booth #328 to learn more about our transit solutions.
We will be showcasing NextBus, a cloud-based, real-time passenger information solution, to over 100 transit agencies, organizations, institutions, and airports. We serve more than 300 million riders each year and offer a host of arrival information options, including apps for mobile devices, a full-featured website, and signage.
It provides real-time arrival data and saves operators time and money by optimizing existing routes and schedules.
Integrating a suite of user tools, our NextBus solutions allow operators to visualize the vehicle ID, assigned route, direction of travel, current service and location, current speed of travel, number of passengers, engine telemetry, covert alarm status, headway status, and schedule adherence status for each vehicle in service.
It also offers powerful reporting features, allowing operators to run dozens of standardized and customized reports for schedule adherence, headway, and job/block.
We will be showcasing our new Driver Control Unit (DCU), an intelligent management and communications device that interfaces with Cubic's NextBus world-class RTPI predictions, passenger counters, NextStop signage, engine diagnostics, two-way operator messaging and operator covert alarms.
A Driver Control Unit (DCU) is an intelligent management and communications device that interfaces with Automated Fare Collection (AFC), Real-Time Passenger Information (RTPI), and other transit-related systems.
GPS technology and a proprietary algorithm link data from the city’s various transit vehicles and agency management systems and send it to the NextBus service center. With its Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform, the need for in-house equipment and support is decreased, reducing agency costs.
We will be showcasing the Cubic Content Management System (CMS), a service offering that comprises cloud-based multi-modal, citywide services onto a single platform for displaying timely and relevant information to travelers.
In the age of information, public transit users rank among the top for reliance on real-time arrival and departure times for trip planning. Digital signage is the fastest and most cost-effective delivery mode for travelers to have access to what they need to know and when. Cubic merges all content selected by the customer onto a single platform and delivers it using a public cloud-hosted server.
The ever-expanding menu of mobility options and management strategies employed by transit agencies and transportation providers have led to safe, cost-efficient and equitable service for riders.
Join our own Crissy Ditmore and Carlos Cruz Casas, Assistant Director, Miami Dade County Department of Transportation and Public Works, to learn how new mobility options that involve innovative fare payment methods, partnerships, and on-demand services contribute to improved access to transit.
