As the system integrator, we tailor the specific media or combination of media to meet each operator's ridership, operating and marketing objectives.

A world leader in industry innovation, Cubic pioneered magnetic ticketing in the early 1970s, and was first to introduce contactless smart cards to transit in the late 1980s. The company also was the first to design, develop and deliver a multi-protocol contactless smart card reader supporting ISO 14443 in its entirety.

In addition to contributing to open systems implementations with our Tri-Reader® family, we are participants in and strong supporters of the standardization initiatives for smart card payment systems globally.

Smart media has gained acceptance as a way to make public transportation more attractive to commuters.
