Cubic Corporation Completes Acquisition of Omega Training Group, Inc.

SAN DIEGO, California - July 29, 2008 -- Cubic Corporation (Amex: CUB) is expanding its substantial defense training services business with the acquisition of privately held Omega Training Group, Inc., of Columbus, Georgia.

Located in close proximity to the U.S. Army Infantry Center and School at Fort Benning, Georgia, Omega provides training, testing, analysis, logistics and staffing services. The company plays a key role in training U.S. Army Soldiers at Fort Benning, Georgia; Fort Bliss and Fort Hood, Texas; and Fort Jackson, South Carolina. It has been involved with the transformation of the U.S. Army Infantry Center and School at Fort Benning, and Omega instructors also teach the U.S. Army’s Reconnaissance and Surveillance Leaders Course there.

Omega will do business under its own name as part of Cubic's Mission Support Business Unit. Omega employs 790 persons worldwide.

"Omega has earned a reputation for excellence, particularly with the U.S. Army Infantry training," said Jim Balentine, president of the Mission Support Business Unit. "The majority of Omega's employees are either retired military or veterans, and Cubic and Omega employees share similar values, including a strong dedication to our customers. We believe that this acquisition will enhance the visibility of Cubic with Omega's customers."

Glenn Marsh, a retired U.S. Army Lieutenant General, will serve as Omega's Vice President and General Manager. Ray Kauffman and Roger Hewitt, founders of Omega Training Group, Inc., will remain with the company.
