Walt Bonneau Jr. to Manage Growing Transit Security, Technology Development Businesses
SAN DIEGO, Calif. July 24, 2008 -- Cubic Corporation (AMEX:CUB) has promoted Mr. Walt Bonneau, Jr. to Senior Vice President and Group General Manager, a new management function created to oversee Cubic's increasing involvement in the areas of Transit Security, as well as Advanced Market and Technology Development for Public Transit, and other Cubic business interests. He will also have responsibility for oversight of the commercialization and market development for eAccess, part of the Cubic family of companies.
Prior to his new role, Mr. Bonneau was a Senior Vice President at Cubic subsidiary Cubic Transportation Systems (CTS) in charge of Engineering, Technology and Marketing. A ten year Cubic veteran, Mr. Bonneau has held multiple senior positions over that time period, both at CTS and at Corporate.
Mr. Bonneau is the recipient of twelve U.S. patents ranging from High Speed Programmable Logic to Smart Card Multi-Protocol. He has also served as the vice-chairman of the ANSI/INCITS B10 National Standards Organization, the nations leading standards setting organization working with the International Standards Organization to encourage and respond to the proliferation of smart cards and contactless technologies.
Mr. Bonneau is an avid public speaker for Cubic Corporation and participates in many of the technology forums held world-wide. Mr. Bonneau holds a BS in Engineering with over 30 years of practical experience.
