Hungary
Since 1998, Cubic has been supporting the Government of Hungary (GOH)
in their force modernization effort. During the initial assessment
period, the Hungarian and Cubic leadership teams conducted groundbreaking
analysis and did integrated defense planning work across the organizations
and functions of the Hungarian Defense establishment, including the
laws and policies that affect defense reform. Hungary became a member
of NATO early in the implementation period of the Cubic contract,
adding that most significant aspect and impetus to defense reform,
planning and resourcing, and further focusing Cubic’s advisory
role. The Hungarian force modernization effort is now based on a clear
linkage between the draft National Military Strategy and resultant
national doctrine, plans, force structures and NATO contributions/
participation. This work continues to be a Cubic focal point as the
dynamic Hungarian defense modernization program has evolved and grown.
